Ninjas and Turtles, and Unicorns…OH MY! Trunk or Treat 2023 had a great turnout and was a good time for all who came to the Shearer Community Center on Saturday. With just a hint of rainy weather the crisp Fall day was a nice backdrop for costumed kids, adults and vehicles! Cowboys, astronauts, bugs, bees, cheerleaders, pirates, alien abductors, zombie soccer players, a sasquatch or two, dinosaurs, wolfman, Dorothy, superheros, and even Sweeney Todd were among those who visited the welcoming (and sometimes spooky) opened trunks.
Thanks to Chief Reed and the Paris Township Fire Department Team for hosting the Pizza and other seasonal goodies to eat and drink; and to all community members for decorating your vehicles and passing out candy; and of course to all of the kids who showed holiday spirit with creative costumes and filled their bags & pillow cases with plenty of treats.
