Portage County Recycling recently announced the opening of its CHaRM Facility. CHaRM (Center for Hard to Recycle Material) provides Portage County residents with a location to take their unwanted materials that otherwise have limited disposal options.
The CHaRM facility is open to Portage County residents on Mondays and Thursdays from 10:00am – 2:00pm. Also, on the first Monday of each month (excluding federal holidays) it is open extended hours, from 10:00am – 6:00pm. A few example items accepted include appliances, electronics and passenger tires.
